Dr Bilal Bin Younis is a Professor of Medicine at Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences and Shalamar Medical College (SMDC). He has previously worked at Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Shalamar Hospital. He graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College and then did his MRCP from Royal College of Physicians UK. His special interests in endocrinology and diabetes mellitus, he set up a specialized diabetic and endocrinology clinic at Shalamar Medical College and Hospital by the name of Sakina Institute of Diabetes and Endocrine Research, in september 2012. Fully computerized data of every patient and multi discipline team including professors of orthopeadics , professors of medicine, consultants, registrar and medical officers along with trained diabetic nurses and helper nurses, diabetes educators, foot assistant, to broaden their services and also further specialize in the foot care , purpose is to give maximum benefit to the patients and generate more research and make their services customized and cost effective. Also ,collaborating with the ophthalmology, gynecology ,obstetrics cardiology and Nephrology Departments. They are regularly participating in delivering lectures and arranging workshops at different national forums of doctors.
